Anand Map & GPS Info

Anand Map & GPS Info

Postby HammockGuy » August 11th, 2011, 4:36 pm

From a good Australian friend whom I've never met before, a handy dandy map of Anand for us visitors, that has GPS coordinates. I believe it's possible to add to this, so please do so...

(When you zoom into a location, set the "Satellite" tab on to see some details.)

Also, attached is the map that many of us get from Dr. Hitesh, who is Dr. Patel's husband...

Four cycles with Dr. Nayana Patel, with the first and fourth giving us two beautiful, healthy baby girls! Persistence and determination are often rewarded, so stay the course...

That Google map from Terry is really good. This wikimapia thing can be helpful too. It is interesting to look at to get your bearings before coming here for the first time.

Here is a link centered on Dr. Nayana's clinic/hospital:

Thanks Spanky! That is very helpful. I'm from US. I'll do some research on sim card and see if I can use with Sprint. Since renting is cheap there, i probably will go with that option. Can you please provide the name and address of the store where you rented the phone?
Thanks.

Just a quick note that I have updated the Google map with some new places and plan to add some more while I am here. If anyone has any requests, post here and I will add to the map.

That map is already awesome! Thanks Spanky.

Taking requests? Hmmm... No Dr. Anita? My favorite meat place, Avkul. If I think of others, I'll let you know...

Hey, is it possible to add a link there? If so, one to the videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/hammockguy66#p/u) would seem to really fit-in... Heck, and then one back to this forum. Thanks again.

EDIT / ADD: Unless you just did it, I now see Avkul and a link to the forum. Maybe it was there. It's still early here ;)

I guess it wasn't me being tired! Thanks Spanky.

I suppose having the GPS coordinates for the hotels should help those taking taxis into town as the drivers are not apt to know the exact location. Assuming the IP's have a GPS device of course they can use to guide the driver...

Anybody interested visiting temples: Anand is full of temple, I used to visit temples every morning as part of my morning walk: I have highlighted them in map. I just included the ones I have visited.

You can also hire a auto (tuk-tuk) and let him take you to the main places.
